In the popular show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, the relationship dynamics among the characters continue to evolve in unexpected ways. Recently, the spotlight has been on Armaan, Vidya, and Abhira. Armaan’s journey has been particularly deafening, especially in dealing with Vidya’s complex emotions.
Initially, Armaan believed Vidya’s love for him was genuine. However, he slowly realized how much Vidya had taken from him in the guise of love. This realization hit him hard when Abhira and his real mother, Shivani, re-entered his life. Vidya had always claimed that she found love only after he entered her life, despite being married to Madhav. Armaan, however, questions this love. He argues that true love never involves deceit, yet Vidya consistently lied to him and manipulated his feelings.
Moreover, Armaan feels that Vidya’s love was selfish. If she truly loved him, she would have understood his love for Abhira instead of asking him to abandon her. Vidya, in Armaan’s eyes, has only taken from him, never giving selflessly. He sacrificed his relationship with his mother for Vidya, and now he is being asked to sacrifice Abhira as well. Vidya never showed him any selfless love, which deeply hurt and disappointed him.
Initially, Armaan thought his father Madhav was wrong for not understanding Vidya’s sacrifices. Yet, he now realizes that Vidya never actually made any real sacrifices. Armaan believes that a mother should give everything for her child. However, in his experience, Vidya only took everything from him, leaving him emotionally drained and questioning the authenticity of her love.
During a confrontation, as Armaan voiced these thoughts to Vidya, Dadisa intervened to protect Vidya as usual. Many of Vidya’s actions were influenced by Dadisa, adding another layer to the complicated relationships in the show.
