Dipika Kakkar Ibrahim and Shoaib Ibrahim, a popular TV couple, recently found themselves under fire on social media. They had traveled to Kashmir with their son Ruhaan to enjoy a vacation. However, in the wake of recent attacks in the region, fans expressed deep concern for their safety.
Addressing these concerns, Shoaib shared an update with their followers. He assured everyone that they had left Kashmir safely and had reached Delhi without any issues. Although the message provided relief to many, it included a line that upset fans. Shoaib mentioned in his post, “Hi guys! You all have been concerned for our well-being. We are all safe and fine. We left Kashmir this morning and have reached Delhi safely. Thank you for all the concern.” However, the message ended with an announcement about an upcoming vlog, which left fans disappointed. Many expected a different tone, considering the gravity of events in Kashmir.

Fans took to the comments section to express their frustration. They accused the couple of insensitivity, emphasizing that their focus on promoting their vlog felt tone-deaf amid the serious incidents in Kashmir. They pointed out that while people suffered in the region, Shoaib and Dipika appeared preoccupied with content creation.
Despite the backlash, Shoaib responded again through an Instagram story. This time, he condemned the attacks in Kashmir unequivocally. He shared sketches and quoted a verse from the Quran, which translates to, “Whoever kills an innocent person, it is as if they have killed all of humanity.” Shoaib ended his post with a strong message urging action, saying, “Find them. Kill them.”
The situation has sparked a conversation about public figures’ responsibilities during times of crisis. While Shoaib and Dipika did address the attacks later, their initial focus on their vlog left fans questioning their priorities. This episode serves as a reminder of the fine line celebrities must navigate between engaging their audience and demonstrating sensitivity toward pressing issues.
