On Saturday night, the National Award-winning actress bagged the Best Performance in a Leading Role award for her Netflix film Do Patti. The film also won the Best Story award, marking a significant win for Sanon, who not only starred in the project but also co-produced it.

Sanon Open to Web Series but Seeks a Unique Script

Speaking to PTI on the event’s green carpet, Sanon shared her thoughts on the idea of starring in a web series. While she is open to exploring the digital space, the actress emphasized that the project needs to be “out of the box” and creatively stimulating.

“I think there should be something that excites me as an actor, and it has to be out of the box, something very different. It has to excite me so much because it’s longer than a film, so it has to hold my interest for that length,” she said.

Sanon’s award-winning film, Do Patti, is a crime thriller written by Kanika Dhillon and directed by debutant Shashanka Chaturvedi. The gripping storyline revolves around twin sisters and a determined police inspector investigating an attempted murder in the fictional town of Devipur, Uttarakhand.

The film was extra special for Kriti as it marked her debut as a producer under her banner, Blue Butterfly Films. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, the actress posted:

“First Best Actor for my first production #DoPatti at the first IIFA Digital Awards!! “

She further congratulated her partner Kanika Dhillon on their dual wins, celebrating the film’s recognition in both Best Actor and Best Story categories.
