Following the controversy and intervention from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, YouTube removed the episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment. The video is now unavailable in India.

The controversy drew reactions from several celebrities. Rakhi Sawant said, “Forgive him yaar… it’s okay, happens sometimes. I know he did wrong, but forgive him.” B Praak even canceled his appearance on Allahbadia’s podcast, citing the need to respect Indian culture. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate condemned the incident, labeling it “perverse behavior.” Journalist and lyricist Neelesh Misra also criticized the show, calling it “obscene.” Television personality Manasi Salvi recently shared a cryptic post on social media, leaving fans wondering if it’s an indirect dig at Allahbadia’s controversy.

The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded a ban on Samay Raina’s show, citing the inappropriate content.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali also weighed in on the controversy, expressing disappointment over the declining standards of humor and content. He called for creators to be more responsible and mindful of their influence.

The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the boundaries of comedy and the responsibility of content creators. Allahbadia’s apology and the subsequent actions taken by YouTube and other stakeholders highlight the importance of accountability in the digital age. The incident has also sparked varied reactions from the public. While some people believe that Allahbadia’s apology is sincere and that he deserves forgiveness, others argue that the comment was inexcusable and demand stricter actions against such content. This has led to a wider debate on the nature of humor and the lines that should not be crossed.
