You will see how Vidya’s anger bursts out on Armaan regarding Abhira. Vidya continuously questions Abhira and her character. Armaan cannot tolerate this because, deep down, he still loves Abhira. Abhira and Armaan both are very hurt by this separation.
Armaan Furiously defends Abhira
As soon as he hears Vidya questioning Abhira’s character, Armaan gets furious and tells Vidya,
“Even when we were together, you couldn’t accept it, and now that we are apart, you still can’t tolerate it. If Abhira is moving on with someone else, she has already moved on. Armaan replies, “Please stop saying such things, Mom! Your hatred, your taunts, and, most of all, my anger pushed Abhira away from me and toward RK. She didn’t do anything. RK didn’t do anything. It was our own actions that led them to be together. Mom, we need to decide what exactly we have a problem with. If Abhira had said that I was still her husband, we would all be furious. But now that she is trying to move on, we are still burning with anger. How can we have a problem with both situations, Mom?”
Vidya responds, “You are fighting with your mother for that girl, even though she quickly found someone else. This means she never valued you, Armaan!”
Armaan reply back, “So will we decide when she should move on? Will we give her a specific time and date? Mom, didn’t you keep telling me to move on? Now that Abhira is moving on, why is it bothering you so much? Why are there double standards for man and woman? She tried every possible way to sort out our issues. And kept believing in love despite all the problems. She always tried to keep peace in the family, but I… I ruined everything in my anger.
Even after receiving so much hatred, she never spoke harshly to you or anyone in this house. She only gave us love. Maybe that’s why she is in a better place today. And now, if I make efforts to bring her back into my life, it would be too late. I have no right to judge her for moving on, and neither do you, Mom.
Armaan tries to Correct Vidya’s POV for Abhira
