Television actor Sumbul Touqeer, widely known for her roles in Imlie and her stint on Bigg Boss 16, has recently found herself at the receiving end of online trolling. The actress, who is quite active on social media, faced criticism regarding her appearance and sudden weight gain. However, she did not stay silent and chose to respond to the trolls with a strong message.
Sumbul’s Response to Trolls
On Tuesday, Sumbul took to Instagram to address the negative comments and tweets directed at her body image. Slamming the trolls, she stated, “I’ve been reading many comments and tweets from a few Victoria’s Secret models about my weight and appearance, and I can say that I’ve never been more mad in my life. I am very politely asking you to stop and let me live my life in peace. If you think I’m ruining my life, let me. I know what I’m doing, and I’m tired now.”
She further revealed the reason behind her weight gain, explaining that it was a side effect of prescribed medication. “P.S. The reason for my sudden weight gain was medication prescribed by a neurologist and a psychiatrist. Which did not suit me. SHUT UP NOWWWWW!!!!” she wrote, shutting down the body shamers with her candid revelation.
