Shilpa Shirodkar Tests Positive for COVID-19

Former Bollywood actor Shilpa Shirodkar has tested positive for COVID. She shared the news with her followers through an Instagram post. Shilpa took to her Instagram profile and wrote, “Hello friends! My COVID test has come positive. Please stay safe and wear a mask!”

Her sister, Namrata Shirodkar, quickly responded with warm wishes. Chum Darang, Shilpa’s fellow contestant from Bigg Boss 18, also wished her a speedy recovery. Chum Darang wrote “ Get Well Soon”.

Her post immediately drew reactions from celebrities. Sonakshi Sinha commented, “Oh God!!! Take care of yourself… get well soon.” Diana Pandey, Ananya Pandey’s aunt, also shared her thoughts, saying, “It’s in the air, a lot is happening, wearing a mask is the most important, get well soon my dear.” Juhi Babbar added, “Oh, get well soon,” expressing concern for Shilpa’s health.

Shilpa Shirodkar was one of the contestants in the popular television reality show Bigg Boss 18. The season was hosted by Salman Khan, and Karan Veer Mehra emerged as the winner. During the show, Shilpa formed a close friendship with Karan and Chum. Their bond became one of the highlights of the season.

After stepping away from films, Shilpa transitioned to television. She appeared in Hindi shows like Ek Mutthi Aasmaan, Silsila Pyaar Ka, and Savitri Devi College And Hospital. Her performances earned her admiration from audiences who appreciated her strong screen presence.

In a separate development, Australian cricketer Travis Head has also tested positive for COVID. As a result, he missed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s match against Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. SRH head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed that Head was unable to travel with the team but expressed hope that he would recover soon and rejoin the squad.
