The controversy surrounding TV actress Aditi Sharma and her troubled marriage to Abhineet Kaushik continues to escalate. After Abhineet accused Aditi of having an affair with her Apollena co-star Samarthya Gupta, the latter has now come forward to share his side of the story. Addressing the allegations, Samarthya denied any romantic involvement with Aditi and claimed that he is being unfairly dragged into the situation.
“I Am Being Used as a Scapegoat”
Expressing his distress over the controversy, Samarthya stated that the allegations have deeply affected him and his family.
“Aditi and I are very good friends, and there’s nothing more to it. Honestly, I feel like I’m being used as a scapegoat. As public figures, we become easy targets, but this situation has truly hurt me. My family, especially my parents, are extremely upset. I am currently in my hometown, and I have been receiving countless calls about this matter,” he shared.
Aditi and Samarthya Share a Professional Bond
Dismissing the rumors of an affair, Samarthya maintained that his relationship with Aditi is strictly professional and friendly.
“We are good friends and will always be. When you work together on a project, you form a bond with your co-actors—it becomes like a family. It’s not just with Aditi, but also with other cast members, like the actors playing my father or my elder brother,” he explained.
He also opened up about witnessing Aditi in emotional distress on set, hinting at her troubled relationship with Abhineet.
“We have seen Aditi break down on set. She has cried in front of us, even our creative team has seen it. Whenever we asked what was wrong, she confided in us that it was because of her husband. She wanted to keep their relationship private from the outside world, but with us, she shared her pain. He has even come to the set and traumatised her,” he alleged.
Unpleasant Encounters Between Abhineet and Samarthya
Samarthya also recalled a disturbing incident where Abhineet entered his makeup room without permission.
“My birthday was on January 20th, and he suddenly walked into my makeup room without my consent. He confronted me, saying, ‘I’m her husband.’ I replied, ‘Great, I didn’t know that.’ I wasn’t even aware of their marriage. I made it clear that Aditi and I were just friends. As a friend and as a human, if you see someone sad, you naturally ask what’s wrong. That’s all I did,” he said.
According to Samarthya, Abhineet wanted to control Aditi’s life.
“She is a professional actress, and she deserves respect, space, and freedom. You cannot treat someone as if you own them. No one has the right to dictate someone else’s life, and that is exactly what he was trying to do,” he stated.
Disrespect Towards Aditi’s Mother
The actor further alleged that Abhineet was rude to Aditi’s mother during a dinner gathering.
“In March, we had a closure night dinner, and Abhineet suddenly arrived at the house. He aggressively questioned me, asking, ‘What are you doing here? You have to leave.’ His tone was extremely rude, and his behavior was completely inappropriate. Not only did he disrespect me, but he also disrespected Aditi’s mother. He even shouted at her, telling her to ‘shut up’ loudly. His behavior was shocking and unacceptable,” Samarthya recalled.
