Bengali film producer Shyam Sunder Dey has filed a shocking complaint against television actors Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma. Accusing the couple of kidnapping and extortion. The alleged incident took place in Goa earlier this month. During which Dey claims he was forcibly confined and extorted for ₹23 lakh.

As per the complaint filed by Dey’s wife Malabika, the filmmaker was intercepted by a black Jaguar while driving in Goa. Dey alleges that two men dragged him out of his vehicle and took him to a villa. Where Puja Banerjee was already present. He claims he was held there from June 1 to June 4 and was not permitted to leave.
Coercion and Threats
Shyam Sunder Dey further stated that he was repeatedly threatened and pressured to sign property-related documents. Despite trying to reason with Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma, he alleges that he was assaulted and had his mobile phones confiscated. Fortunately, he managed to use a hidden spare phone to send his location and a secret video message to his wife, helping authorities track him down.
