New Lead Actor for Kumkum Bhagya 2.0
The long-running show, which has dominated television since its launch in 2014, is undergoing yet another generational leap. Despite several twists and turns, Kumkum Bhagya has been struggling with TRP ratings lately. To revive audience interest, the makers were on the lookout for a fresh lead actor. Initially, Dheeraj Dhoopar was considered for the role, but due to unforeseen reasons, he had to step back. Now, reports confirm that Akshay Dev Bindra has been finalized as the new male lead.
A Fresh On-Screen Pairing
With this new casting decision, viewers will witness an entirely fresh pairing in Kumkum Bhagya 2.0. Pranali Rathod, who was previously adored for her chemistry with Harshad Chopda in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, will now share screen space with Akshay Dev Bindra. Meanwhile, Pranali Rathod was last seen in the TV show Durga, which unfortunately went off-air within a few months due to low ratings.
