Jhanak to End in September

After months of speculation, it’s now confirmed—Star Plus’ drama series Jhanak is heading off-air this September. Despite its star-studded cast and initial buzz, the show failed to maintain audience interest, ultimately leading to its cancellation.

From the beginning, Jhanak grabbed attention. With Rhea Sharma, Arjit Taneja, and Twinkle Arora in lead roles, expectations were high. The show promised emotional depth and strong performances. However, as the storyline progressed, viewers began to lose connection.

Initially, the plot centered around Jhanak and Aniruddh—played by Kiba and Krishal. Unfortunately, their arc was never properly wrapped up. The lack of closure left fans disappointed. Moreover, the narrative took a regressive turn, making it harder for audiences to relate.

As the story drifted, so did the viewers. Despite having talented actors, the show Jhanak couldn’t hold its place in fans’ hearts. The writing failed to evolve, and the characters lost their emotional grip. Consequently, rumors of the show going off-air began circulating months ago.

Now, with the final week approaching in September, the decision is official. Fans have already started reacting online—and the responses are intense.

While fans mourn the show’s end, the cast and crew face a different reality. Arjit Taneja reportedly mentioned that around 150 workers may lose their jobs. However, many of them are expected to find work within the same film city. Still, viewers feel let down. After investing nearly 1.5 years into the show, they’re left with what they call the “worst ending to Jhanak.”

Jhanak had the potential to be a long-running hit. But inconsistent storytelling and lack of emotional payoff led to its downfall. As it prepares to say goodbye, fans are left with mixed feelings—some angry, some nostalgic, and many simply disappointed.
