The popular Star Plus serial “Jhanak” is about to take a 20-year leap, leading to significant changes in the cast. Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab will no longer be part of the show. The makers have already started mock shoots for the new star cast. Recently, actor Shoaib Ibrahim participated in a mock shoot, and he might play the lead role in the post-leap story.
In the current episodes, Jhanak and Arshi came face to face and Arshi is all set to reveal Jhanak’s true identity infront of vihaan and his family. But this will not happen as vihaan and anirudh will change the topic.
Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja Confirms Exit
Fans are upset about the departure of Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab, feeling that their potential was wasted and their story was not adequately explored. Hiba Nawab confirmed her exit from the show, expressing her sadness. She mentioned in an interview that “Jhanak” has been like a baby to her, and playing her role for the past 15 months was a great opportunity. However, she feels she cannot convincingly portray a 45-year-old woman, which is the age her character will be after the leap.
Hiba stated, “Jhanak has been my baby and playing this role for 15 months was a great opportunity. However, I wouldn’t look convincing as a 45-year-old woman. The leap is the makers’ vision, and I hope it brings freshness to the show.” Likewise, Krushal Ahuja will leave the show post-leap, while Kunal Verma is also expected to exit shortly.
These changes come as the show’s viewership has been steadily declining. Initially, the makers blamed “Bigg Boss” for the low TRPs. However, even after “Bigg Boss 18” ended, there was no improvement in the ratings. Consequently, Star Plus issued a notice to the production team, prompting them to revamp the show with new characters.
Fans are particularly upset because they were watching “Jhanak” mainly for Krushal and Hiba. After hearing the news of the leap and their departure, fans expressed their disappointment.
The future of “Jhanak” remains uncertain as the show attempts to regain its lost audience with new characters and storylines. However, the departure of beloved actors Krushal Ahuja and Hiba Nawab has left fans heartbroken and skeptical about the show’s direction.
