Three days after the death of veteran actor Dharmendra, his wife and celebrated actress Hema Malini has shared her first public message. In a heartfelt note, she broke her silence and expressed the depth of her grief. She remembered him not only as a towering figure in Indian cinema but also as the emotional anchor of her personal life.

In her tribute, Hema Malini described Dharmendra as “many things” to her. He was a loving husband, a devoted father to their daughters Esha and Ahana, and a constant companion through every joy and challenge. Moreover, she called him her friend, philosopher, guide, and poet. He was her “go-to person” in moments of need, someone who stood by her in both good times and bad.

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His death marked the end of an era in Hindi cinema. Known as the “He-Man of Indian Cinema,” he had been unwell for weeks. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for breathing difficulties but was discharged after a short stay. Despite continued treatment at home, he breathed his last at his Mumbai residence.

His final rites were performed at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle. The ceremony drew a large gathering of family, friends, and colleagues.

Alongside her written tribute, Hema Malini also shared several photographs of her husband. In addition, he was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, ensuring that his legacy continues through generations.

Dharmendra’s career spanned decades and included iconic performances in films such as Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, and Anupama. His versatility allowed him to shine in action, comedy, and romance alike. Furthermore, his humility and charm made him a beloved figure both on and off screen.
