The original song Chuttamalle features actors Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. When Janhvi came across the viral performance of Ed and Shilpa, she couldn’t contain her excitement. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “What a crossover to wake up to.”

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran also shared a behind-the-scenes video from his practice session with Shilpa Rao. In the video, she was seen helping him with the Telugu pronunciation. Expressing his admiration for her voice, Ed captioned the post, “Obsessed with @shilparao’s voice for the last while, a real privilege to share the stage tonight, and learn a new language!”

Interestingly, before his Bengaluru concert, Ed Sheeran had planned a street performance on Church Street. However, Bengaluru Police halted the event due to concerns about congestion. DCP Central Bengaluru, Shekar T. Tekkannanavar, explained that the concert wasn’t permitted as per court orders regarding public space evacuations.
Responding to the incident, Ed clarified on Instagram, “We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn’t just us randomly turning up. All good, though. See you at the show tonight x.”

Adding to his India experience, Ed Sheeran also learned how to play the sitar and performed his hit song Shape of You on the instrument. Fans were so impressed with his skills that they humorously started calling him ‘Pandit Ed Sheerankar’—a name that has now gone viral.
