Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja have won immense appreciation for their performances in Jhanak. However, after dedicating one and a half years to the show, both actors have decided to step away before the upcoming leap. In a recent interview, Hiba confirmed her departure, stating that she will be taking a break for some time.
The show Jhanak is set to undergo a significant 20-year leap, portraying the character of Jhanak as a 45-year-old woman. Hiba Nawab felt that she wouldn’t appear convincing in such a role. Speaking to Etimes TV, she explained, “I had to leave the show because I wouldn’t look believable as a 45-year-old woman. Playing Jhanak taught me a lot of new skills. Though I’m not a trained dancer, my role required me to perform as an exceptional dancer, which was quite challenging. I worked hard to perfect my performance and even lost weight to convincingly portray a young college girl from Kashmir. I will truly miss shooting for this show, but for now, I plan to take a short break before moving on to my next project.”
Jhanak is All set for a Leap
Meanwhile, Star Plus’s popular show Jhanak is gearing up for a major twist with its 20-year leap. Along with Hiba, lead actor Krushal Ahuja has also confirmed his exit from the series.
In an official statement, Krushal Ahuja shared that his departure was a mutual decision between him and the production team. He stated, “Yes, the show is taking a leap, and I’ll be leaving. This decision was made mutually between the production team and me.”
Expressing his gratitude for being part of Jhanak, Krushal described his exit as a fresh start. He said, “I see this as a new beginning. Sometimes, one journey must end to make way for another.”
