Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited romantic epic Love & War has finally locked its release date. After months of speculation and repeated delays, the makers announced that the film will hit theatres worldwide on Thursday, January 21, 2027, coinciding with the Republic Day weekend.

Initially, the film was slated for a summer 2026 release. However, multiple changes to the storyline and extensive post-production work pushed the schedule further. Moreover, the climax shoot was reportedly shifted to late 2026 due to Ranbir Kapoor’s commitments to Ramayana: Part I and Vicky Kaushal’s Mahavatar. As a result, the project avoided clashes with other big-ticket releases of 2026 and secured a fresh window in 2027.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Ranbir and Vicky are expected to play army officers, while Alia portrays the woman caught in the middle of their emotional conflict.
